World eating champion Kobayashi recently took on an eating challenge against five bloggers for ChicagoNow. The race was to see whether the five bloggers could eat one Italian beef sandwich faster than Kobayashi could eat five sandwiches himself. The sandwiches were supplied by Al’s #1, the non-best, best Italian beef in the city.

Kobayashi won the challenge in only 95 seconds, while only one of the bloggers had finished their sandwich. A sixth sandwich was brought out to Kobayashi to keep the challenge going. By the time he finished the sixth sandwich, two of the bloggers still hadn’t finished theirs.

Sorry ChicagoNow, but maybe next time you should find some REAL Chicagoins to go up against Kobayashi. If you watch the bloggers, they don’t seem to even be trying to compete. I probably could have finished two sandwiches in the time it took him to finish five.
